Just finish talking to my doctor and just found out that instead of the normal 3 cuts you get from surgery (belly button and two on the sides of your lower tummy) she told me shes only cutting me above the bikini line like a c c section basically. Is hair loss a side effect to endo? I notice I started losing alot of hair weeks before my surgery. Assume it was going to stop after they removed my cyst. Its been 2 weeks after my surgery and still experinceing hair loss. Anyone else?

I am new to this and have been going to doctors with pain since January this year. I finally was referred and went to my OBGYN in July. She diagnosed me with Endo and said to take constant contraceptive pills for 6 months to try to manage the pain. So far I'm only 7 weeks into the 6 months and I'm struggling with the pain more and more each day. I was thinking that a quick ten minute talk is enough for now. I will cover the basics of the disease as well. She is only five years old so I do not wish to overwhelm her however. Thanks in advance. Advice and tips will also be appreciated too. This will pave the way for further conversations.

So I have a consult this Thursday for a laparoscopy the surgeon is not an endo expert surgeon but he is a gyno/MD/FACOG
He isn’t my first pick but my first pick who is an endo master surgeon can’t get me in just for a consult till October 19th. I don’t think I can’t wait that long with the constant pain I’m experiencing, if he offers surgery should I do it or wait for the best in my area???
Please help I need any advice, info, opinions?

Hey! I was diagnosed via laparoscopy and excision back in 2018/2019, I’ve had endometriosis since I was 15 (as usual, took me years to be diagnosed).

When I had my last op, they only looked at the typical endo areas. I’ve recently been put forward for more surgery, including on my bowel & bladder (if they find endo there).

I’ve tried anti-inflammatory eating but cannot avoid ice cream and biscuits because I love them. Not sure if that’s killing me!

Wondering if anyone had has experience with Secken Endometriosis Center & if it was worth the extra cost involved since they are out of network with all insurances.
