Gluten Free Tips? (Anti Inflammatory Diet)
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been doing a lot of research and keep coming across the idea that, with all my conditions combined, an anti-inflammatory diet could really help me. I can do dairy free somewhat easily, and I'll work on going sugar free, but as a picky eater on a tight budget I'm not sure how to maintain gluten free eating while still getting enough calories.

I have sensory problems with a lot of food textures, like berry skins. I can't stomach quinoa no matter what I try, and most veggies have to be… read more

I'll try that! Never been a fan of cauliflower but I haven't tried making it very many ways

What Stage ?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

So I'm on day 5 of recovery of my hysterectomy and Endo excision. My post op doc appointment isn't until the 8th so I won't get explanations until then. But after surgery my surgeon spoke to my husband after and just said " surgery went well , most of her Endo was on her right side ." So I thought that maybe that meant i only had stage 1 or 2 or something of that nature.

But I looked on the hospital portal and read the post op notes and it states severe endometriosis....so would that mean a… read more

Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Endo Without Having Had Diagnostic Surgery? Or Is Being Treated For Endo Based On Symptoms?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

Typically to be diagnosed you have to go through excision surgery. I highly recommend seeing a female ob/gyn specialist, to be taken seriously. My doctor performed my surgery, she is an excellent… read more

Is Anyone Else Incapable Of Wearing Tampons? If So, Are There Any Other Alternatives Besides Pads To Use For Swimming, Water Sports, Etc?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I cannot wear tampons for they cause me too much pain and discomfort. Each time I try it never works- I can't even walk when I have a tampon in. So I've had to resort to pads but this poses an issue for when I'm on period and need to swim
Are there any alternatives or something to get rid of the pain?!

I'm hesitant to try them just because they're something totally new to me but I appreciate it. I recently went to the doctor and she recommended the cups as well. Thanks so much!

Onion Smell Down There
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

For about the last year I have had a very oniony/cat pee smell somewhere down there. I am not sexually active and have had a urine test and vagina swab test that have all come back negative. A friend of mine that also has endo has the same smell, so I’m thinking it could be endo related. I’m currently using boric acid suppositories to balance out my PH which my doctor thought could be out of wack and causing the problem. So far it isn’t working. I’m not even sure if the problem is… read more

Depo Shot Not Working Anymore?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been on the depo shot for two and a half years, and had a laparoscopy 6 months after starting. They told me they were able to remove about 75% of the endo based on where it was located, so they kept me on the depo thinking it would prevent more tissue growth. Within the past couple of months, I’ve started having really intense periods every 2 or 3 months rather than spotting, and they’re heavier and more painful than before I started any form of birth control. Could this be a sign that the… read more
