Hello. Anyone menopausal and still having pain? My doctor is convinced that at 51 my endo pain will decline soon and took me off my Norethindrone daily maintenance and Mirena IUD. Crashed and had severe cramps for 3 days. Still having pain in my right side. Hoping the doctor is right, but after 30 years of dealing with pain (post a confirming laparascopy surgery in my 20s), I still feel dismissed and unheard. Thank you.

New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. My mom passed away at 73 she didnt know what endometriosis was when she passed the lung expert said her lungs were like cement and wouldn't expand he had no idea why because she had endometriosis and never had it treated it made me wonder if it was endo related and what becomes of any remaining endo implants after menopause? I might be entertaining menopause early due to the damage endo has done, my gynae isn’t sure at this point but says it’s possible. She told me menopause is the cure. Is this true?

I have had excision, been on Lupron, Depo and every pill under the sun. My options are slim and I’m miserable
Yes I had my surgery with a Nook excision specialist.
Yes I know a hysterectomy is not a cure.
Yes I know I’m young.
Yes I am aware that takes away my option to bear children.

If Depo is used for treatment of endo, is it possible for someone to have it and it not be noticeable even when a doctor is removing an ovary and fallopian tube, even when a biopsy is done?

Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead.
