Hello everyone,
I just had laparoscopic surgery 2/22 and my gynecologist has found adhesion/ endo in my uterus. Some were able to be removed however there are still smaller ones still there. The gynecologist told my parents I would need the shot I’m guessing (lupron) which will put me in a menopause state. My question is what treatments have you sought out? Is the shot worth it or should I look into alternatives I’m already on birth control and have been for years.

Thank you so much for your input.
I've never taken hormones prior to my diagnosis. The first one I tried was the Depo shot and it almost destroyed me mentally and physically, the side affects were so bad: my existing Anxiety went through the roof, I developed depression, extreme fatigue, a total absence of sex drive, and my migraines were worse than ever. My doctors recommended I try Aygestin instead, as the hormone levels were much lower. Things are better, but I still don't really feel...normal? Has anyone else tried Aygestin… read more
Does aygestin help to prevent pregnancy? A doctor told me it does not. It traeats more the endometriosis. Im on the 5 mg one. The one they said prevents more is 0.35 mg. What is the difference between both?
I have been on dienogest for a while now and switching back to micronor 0.35 for birth control and I am really nervous cause I was on it before and didn't do much for pain but Dr said it might be… read more
After having my lap, my OB put me on the mini-pill. I have been on it for two years and had breakthrough bleeding a lot. I have a history of low iron/anemia as well, from my Endo and heavy periods. My new OB wants me to take a higher dose, 5 mg, of Aygestin to stop my bleeding/periods, and better manage my endo
I am nervous about increasing the dosage and possible side effects. Has anyone been on Aygestin and had good luck? It feels like there are limited options for us Endo ladies, and I am… read more
No I'm no longer taking the Aygestin
I was set to have my next lap in a few days, but they have now postponed due to tachycardia. I've been tachycardic before, and all bloods have shown no reason why (e.g. Not thyroid related). A quick google suggested there could be a link between endo & tachy, was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this too?
I first started asking about endo way back in the 90s and it took me till this year to land an official diagnosis! I had SVT which started back in 2004 and in 2017, I finally succeeded in sticking… read more
I was wondering if anyone on here has opted to medically be put in 6 months of menopause? Any insight here would be greatly appreciated.
I had a mirena inserted a few months ago. I tried stopping the pill after having it in and was experiencing to much pain, so went back on it. After a few weeks the bleeding and pain came back so my Dr put me on Norimin as well as the primolut, because she thinks the lining of my uterus is to thin. The bleeding has stopped, but I do have some spotting and pain. I honestly don't want to have to take all these pill + have the mirena, but I don't know what to do? :(
Oh my gosh! That's terrible!! I'm having flashes and mood swings from Hades! I've noticed I want to eat just to eat so I've had to be especially aware and figure out what to do instead. Luckily I… read more
