I used to sleep great, but when I start getting endo pain I have a hard time staying asleep. If the tiniest thing wakes me up, that's it, I'm awake. If I take something before bed it wears off before it can help. And I don't always have an opportunity for a nap later in my day. Has anyone found a way to get restful, restorative sleep? Only getting 6 hours of sleep a night almost every night is really wearing me down.
When I get a flareup, I get about four hours asleep, so I usually take an edible and I sleep all night
I agree. The period phase was hard enough. I am finding menopause and endo is exhausting
I was curious if anyone else has ever noticed exercise helps symptoms? I was doing CrossFit regularly and I noticed my cramping, spot bleeding, pms symptoms subside. I noticed when I am heavily stressed they come full force. But doing intense exercise did the reverse.
I read in an article that doing core work is a no no due to pulling in the stomach and risking spreading the adhesions to the other side of the stomach ? It sounds logical doesnt it?
Endo needs to be removed deep and wide by the excision technique. Not every OBGYN knows how. When it's done correctly the Endo has a very small chance of returning. Call one of these Surgeons and take care of yourself. If it's not possible to see one of these surgeons, still call and they can recommend a quality surgeon near you , who can give you good care.

Has anyone been in so much pain your legs hurt, you get super nauseous and your lower body feels weak and funny (can't explain it better)???
Sometimes I have super bad cramps -not usually enough to make me vomit, but every period I get what I call 'jello legs'. No one seems to know what I'm talking about.
Does anyone know if you tell your doctor after surgery that the only place you have to go is your car if they will let you stay in the hospital?
You can ask if they will admit you over night, I've had a dr keep me over night after a lap, I also had my appendix out but I stayed one night.
I’ve found that placing heating pad on the lower abdomen is really helpful, but what about the retrograde flow... It feels really uncomfortable setting up in bed trying to sleep.
I use ice packs sometimes too. It's weird but helps reduce inflammation.
Lately I’ve been having issues sleeping. I go to bed early enough to where I try to get at least 6-8hrs, but I still wake up exhausted and feel fatigued throughout the day. I’m constantly turning throughout the night, and lately I’ve been waking up with abdominal and/or other pressure.
Any suggestions?
I’ve heard that a body pillow might help but Amazon has too many to choose from- anyone use one?
I’m always tired and exhausted. I take a nap almost everyday. Nobody understands unless they have the disease. It’s hard.
What is some helpful things you all take or do that help with constipation? I don't want to be taking laxatives all the time. I have IBS along with constipation from the endo so my bowels pretty much just hate me.
Any suggestions would be seriously helpful.
Oh and SandiCarz, you're right. Diet is CRUCIAL
I just recently started school again, and I can't take my normal heating pad to class with me to plug into the wall, because that would cause a scene that I don't want to make. I have heard of portable heating pads, ones that run on a power bank and hold an 8 hour charge. It fits under your clothes so nobody knows you're wearing it..... but I can't seem to find one. Does anybody have any ideas?
I believe in rice bags an cornie bags. I found all mine at arts an craft fairs, just need access to a microwave.
